We have always referred to this slice of Heaven as “Strawberry Stuff” in my family. I suppose it’s formal name is “Strawberry Pretzel Salad”. No matter it’s name, it is the freakin’ BEST! Below you will find my step by step on how to get this in your belly.

Ingredients – all from Aldi

  • 4 cups Pretzels
  • 1 bag frozen strawberries
  • 2 packs strawberry jello
  • 2 packs cream cheese
  • 2 containers cool whip
  • 1 and 1/2 sticks of butter
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 9×13 pan

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Removes strawberries from freezer to thaw.
  • Remove cream cheese from refrigerator to soften.
  • Place pretzels in plastic bag and crush.
  • Melt butter in microwave.
  • Coat pretzels with melted butter.
  • Spread and pack down across pan.
  • Bake for 10 minutes. Remove and allow to cool.
  • Prepare jello to package instructions.
  • Add stawberries.
  • Place in fridge approximately 1 and 1/2 hours until semi set.
  • Add softened cream cheese, cool whip, and sugar to mixer. Smash down to keep ingredients from flying out of the bown.
  • Stir 2 minutes using flat beater.
  • Switch to wire whisk and beat for approximately 4 minutes until mixture is smooth. I start at speed 2 and work my way up to 8.
  • You can also use a hand mixer.
  • Spread in spoon fulls evenly over pretzel crust. Smooth out.
  • Spoon jello mixture over filling. Smooth.
  • Place in refrigerator approximately 2 hours until completely set.

ENJOY!

You can eat it all nice and neat like the first picture, but let’s be honest – it’s going to end up in the bowl just like this. I always double my recipe and make two pans. You should too. 😉
